The historic town of Aranmula in Kerala’s Pathanamthitta district is renowned for three iconic attractions:

The Vallasadhya is a 72-day annual offering held from the end of July until early October at the Lord Parthasarathy Temple. Devotees sponsor the feast as an offering to fulfil wishes, including prayers for marriage, children, health, and prosperity.
Every year, hundreds of devotees participate by sponsoring the feast for the oarsmen who row the temple’s traditional snake boats (Palliyodams).

Participation limited.
Visitors wishing to experience the Vallasadhya should contact the Palliyoda Sanghom well in advance to reserve a seat before planning their trip.
On special occasions such as Ashtami Rohini (Lord Krishna’s Birthday), the feast is open to all temple visitors.
Arrive before 11:30 AM, as the feast concludes quickly due to the large number of devotees.
