After 28 years, India hosts the Miss World Pageant. One hundred twenty world beauties with brains are in Delhi right now. Miss World Pageant began on February 18th and will be there until March 9th.
Some events will happen in Delhi and others in Mumbai. Sini Shetty from India will be contesting. There are some Indian connections in this pageant.
Events to held in Delhi and Mumbai
The event here, organized by the India Tourism Development Corporation (ITDC) in India, will have Some of the events conducted at Bharath Mandapam, others at the G20 Venu, and later, the events will go to Mumbai. On March 9th, the Finale will be in Mumbai at the JIO World Convention Centre.
February 20th was the opening ceremony at The Ashok Hotel, which was telecasted live on missworld.com. The Finale will be live-streamed by Sony LIV from 7:30 to 10:30 PM. The website also provided information about the contestants, their activities, and their profiles so that we could assess why they deserved to be among the top 20 finalists.
Today, 115 participants delivered a 2-minute beauty with purpose speech at Bharath Mandapam yesterday. Miss World Sports Challenge will be in New Delhi. A head-to-head challenge will be on February 23rd, again at Bharath Mandapam.
In Mumbai, the events that will happen are – ‘The World Tops Designers Award’, ‘Miss World Top Model’, ‘Miss World Talent Finale’, the Multimedia Challenge Final and, of course, the grand Finale, the crowning glory.
The Indian connection at the Miss World Pageant
Navjot Kaur, the contestant from New Zealand, is the first woman of Indian origin to represent the country at the beauty pageant. Tony Ann Singh, Miss World 2019, is also here. She is a Jamaican of Indian descent.
